When you choose to use premium finance to pay for your insurance, we collect monthly installments from you by Direct Debit.
As part of the set-up process, you will either complete a Direct Debit Mandate form or provide your bank details to your Shimin Insurance Agency. Once the Direct Debit Mandate is set up, your monthly installments will automatically be taken each month from your bank account by Direct Debit.
If we are unable to collect a scheduled Direct Debit payment from your bank account, a fee may be applied. If you cancel your credit agreement we may also charge a fee. The details of the fees we charge (including the amount and reason for the charge) are included in your credit agreement.
If you want to cancel your insurance policy or credit agreement, please contact Shimin Insurance Agency to discuss this further. Once we have received a cancellation request from the agency we will cancel your credit agreement and confirm this in writing to you. You will be able to find contact information on your insurance policy and communications sent by Shimin Insurance Agency
Mwananchi Credit Insurance Premium Finance pays the full cost of the insurance premium to your broker. If your insurance policy is canceled, any refund amount due from your insurer may not cover the outstanding balance of your credit agreement. If you still have an outstanding balance, you are required to pay this in line with your original credit agreement with us. We will continue to collect a monthly Direct Debit for the remaining balance and will notify you in writing how much the remaining payments will be.
