Job Summary
- Provide legal counsel including litigation, legal actions, and loan recovery procedures.
- Supervise the preparation and assessment of legal documentation.
- Advise on regulatory and legal requirements to enhance compliance.
- Support the implementation of legal procedures and policies.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including legal counsel, regulatory organizations, and other institutions.
- Facilitate training sessions on legal matters and collaborate with departments.

- Solid understanding of microfinance operations financial services
- Competency in legal research tools and case management software
- Problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Comprehensive understanding of financial, debt recovery and consumer protection laws
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Leadership and team management
Qualifications
- A law degree (LLB) from an accredited university. A Master’s degree in law is preferred.
- Postgraduate Diploma in Law.
- Minimum 5 years’ post-admission experience in litigation, debt recovery, and relevant laws.
- Strong litigation experience in handling high-volume legal cases, revolving around debt collection.
- Experience in banking and related financial services is required.
